All the food in the Sigiriya Restaurant is prepared from healthy, fresh food of the best quality. Of course, we do not use glutamate in our kitchen. Our guests who eat vegetarian and/or vegan meals can expect a wide selection of delicious dishes as well as vegan milk drinks.
When it comes to meat, we pay particular attention to the origin. Our beef and lamb come from Neuland farms, which ensure species-appropriate animal husbandry.
To support the farmers in Sri Lanka and fair trade, we decided to buy Ceylon tea and Ayurvedic herbal teas from organic cultivation, which was awarded a "FairTrade" label.
Sri Lanka's most popular food is "rice and hodhi". However, there are countless dishes behind this. Hodhies - or curries - are a wide variety of sauces with fish, meat or vegetables. These are refined with exquisite mixtures of aromatic spices.
